The Coaching Gym
In
the Dental Business School my pricing has remained pretty static over
the years. From 1994 to 2002 I asked clients to pay £3,000 per annum
(payable at £250 per month). Amazingly, no price increase for 8 years!
In 2005, I will be increasing my price in the UK to £3900 (payable at
£325 per month) and we anticipate little resistance to this.
When we launched the MDCP back in July 2003, I made what I believe was a
well-intentioned decision, and that was to convert my UK fee (at that
time) of £3600 to an approximate dollar equivalent and price the MDCP
at $5400 (payable at US$450 per month).
A choice available to me now is to hike the price even further and create
exclusivity. Maybe charge $6,000 for the CBS, restrict to 50 clients only
and create a select "club".
The more I think about this, the less I want to do it. I prefer that we
reach out to more people and continue to leverage ourselves at an easily
affordable price.
What I want to do is keep parity with my UK pricing structure but
eliminate the currency conversion.
In other words, the price for the CBS 2005 will be US$3,900 or
CDN$3,900 or £3,900 (payable at $/£325 per month).
BUT - this will be a full-year commitment - I am no longer tolerating
clients who take the intellectual property that we so freely share and
then drop out before the year ends to save a few months of fees. You are
in for the $3,900, we are giving you a payment schedule that allows you
to spread the fee - but we will ask for a written commitment to pay the
full amount.
